A drilling validated in a study is not necessarily enforceable

The decisions taken at the preliminary phase may have unexepected consequences and reveal significant flaws later during the project life. This leads, most of the time, to additional costs, technical failures or delays.

In several recent cases, the problem does not appear in the calculations, assumptions or geotechnical constraints on their own.

  • Solution : a combination of geotechnical analysis, trajectory and on-field conditions

Common mistakes in trenchless crossings

  • Over/undersized drilling
  • Geotechnical report poorly utilized
  • Unrealistic radius / trajectory
  • Ignored external constraints

Are you currently working on a sensitive crossing or a trenchless alternative ?

It is possible that one of these points applies.
